MKC Fall Programming reaches record number of participants.
November 8, 2016
Two hundred second through ninth graders signed up for fall classes at the MKC, an increase of more than 20% over last year. An additional 90+ high school students have registered to take part in the MKC’s unstructured teen drop-in program and special open-mic events.
As the Center begins its fourth year of operations, staff has come to understand what kind of programs appeal to Catalyst-Maria scholars. Classes such as art, music, dance, and sewing have maintained or grown in popularity and have become fixtures among the programs we offer. The MKC also offers several programs in cooking as well as drama, girl scouts, tae kwon do, and mountain biking.
Recently, we had the opportunity to expand our music classes to include vocal performance. This fall, General Chorus and Gospel Choir were added to our program roster. We look forward to featuring these performance groups in concert.
